FAQs

I’ve never taken dance before, will the classes be appropriate to me?

Yes! Please come with an open mind and be ready to have fun. All beginner classes are open to new dancers. You’ll have fun, sweat and meet some great new people!

What should I expect?

Each class begins with a warm-up, then we’ll work on technique and combinations. Classes are often light-hearted and fun. At the end we cool down and check in.

What should I wear?

Comfortable exercises clothing. I like to be able to check your alignment, so please wear things that are form fitting, I prefer no skirts. I dance barefoot for bellydance and bhangra, but soft soled dance shoes are ok. For hip hop you want to wear jazz sneakers or flexible street shoes (with clean bottoms).

I’m a man, can I take your classes?

Yes. My students are primarily women, but my dance classes are open to all serious dance students.

Do I have to be a certain weight or body type?

No! Dance is for every-body!
